What to do with a bucket full of mice?
If you want the trap to be lethal, simply half fill the bucket with water. If not, do not put anything inside and after every catch, go and release them somewhere far away from your house. Let nature do the rest.
Doesn't the bait fall in with the mouse? Would you have to reload every time?
You don't put any bait on the slip and slide (flipper). The bait, peanut butter, is put on the underside of the "tunnel". That way the balance of the slip and slide isn't messed with and the bait stays put over time.

12 hours in, I caught three layers of mice. We didnāt put any bait on the lid, just dropped some cat food down in there. Lid removes easily. Ladder fits in and disconnects easily, although they hardly need a ladder. Took them several miles away and dropped them in the forest. Quick and easy. Thank you!
I love this trap!!! At first we captured the mice then released them into the woods about 3 miles away. Now, I just put about 3 of water in the bottom of the 5 gallon bucket and they drown. Best invention ever!!!!!!!

This is the most effective mouse trap ever! I have been using various traps for years including the spring-loaded traps, the sticky pads, and the little bait boxes, and none of these have ever been very effective, but within a few days of putting the bucket in place, we caught 4 mice. I then emptied the bucket and in two days I had another one. This trap is the best!!
